PepperPotts Photoshoot

I have finally decided to start selling out some of my knitting works. My knitting line is called Pepperpotts and I have also launched a special online page where I posted the collections that are available for sale.

A few days earlier (before the blog and online shop was launched) I had two days of photoshoot for the collections, hiring my own husband as the photographer and myself as the model.

Day 1 of photoshoot

Had the short photoshoot session at one of Jakarta's own city park that was located at the center of the city. It didn't go as well as planned, since we got stuck in traffic jam a bunch of times on our way there - it turned out that one of the presidential candidates and a large crowd was visiting the election committee's office nearby. well, we're not voting for them - so we only had a couple of shots taken then we moved to another venue.

Too bad though, because the weather was totally perfect.

What I wear on top: Red dress by Dlaalune, Denim legging by CottonInk, Blue Frilly Scarf/Beige Infinity Shawl/Knitted Pumpkin hat by Pepperpotts

Day 2 of photoshoot

This time we decided that we wouldn't go too far from home, so we went to the nearby park and one of the malls we hangout so often at. The weather and sunlight was awesome, we totally had a great time. And since it was done at working hours, both of the venue wasn't too crowded so we took our time and actually had a lot of great photos.

What I wear: Black dress by ASOS, unbranded tights, Shoes by Kickers, Light Blue Infinity Shawl/Gray Neck Warmer by Pepperpotts, Chicago Totebag.

We spent the rest of the afternoon (and evening) window-shopping at the mall and ended up shopping.
Dating while working is always fun :)

My Chicago totebag. I'm thinking of selling these totebag also. What do you think?

A Short Getaway

Last week I went to a short trip with my husband on his company's one day tour. The company where my husband is working at held this short trip for their employees to West Java, starting the tour at Carita Resort, then to Tangkuban Perahu and then finished the tour at Lembang. All of the destinations were at the mountains area on West Java, so it was actually quite refreshing since Jakarta's weather was extremely hot.

We didn't take any photos at Carita, but my husband (and everyone else, of course) had a lot of fun bathing at the steamy hot pool. The resort that we went to at Carita was a huge area of public pool and baths with hot water. The natural mountain water was mixed with sulfur that came from the deep mountain that cause the water to be really hot, and they also said that bathing in the water could cure a lot of sickness.

We took more photos at the next destination, Tangkuban Perahu. It was really awesome to be back there again since my last visit many many years ago, which I took with my family back when I was a child. It's really crowded now but the view was really beautiful. Too bad that only after about 15 minutes that we got to the crater (which is located at the peak), it immediately started to rain and the fog got so thick that we couldn't take any photos of the crater. The weather was so cold but fresh. I was grateful that I wore a thick cardigan on the trip.

What I wore: Apricot Striped Tribal Asymmetric Hem Cardigan Sweater from SheInside, Brown Top from Shopatvelvet, Logo Jeans, CottonInk x TLTSN Flat Shoes

Though we didn't take any photos of the crater, we did take photos on the scenery. And we also noticed that the forest surrounding the crater site and the forest that we passed along the way looked really awesome, both mystical and beautiful at the same time. Here are some of the photos that I posted on instagram from the tour.

The photos of the surrounding forest I postes on Instagram.
My husband took this with camera that we brought at the tour.
See how serious my husband looks trying to look at the crater through the fog :*
Taken from my husband's Instagram. Looks so mystical with the wet earth and the fog. Love it so much...
The one day tour really reminds me how I miss travelling with my husband. Hope we can have another travelling trip together again soon.

Until next time!

The Goods Dept. Grand Opening Night

Last Thursday night (at Sept 27th, 2012) was a special night for The Goods Dept. because they were having their grand opening night. And I was lucky enough to received a special invitation to attend the event, which I actually won on a quiz that they held on Twitter the day before.
I went to Pasific Place by myself right after work and managed to enter The Goods Dept. at 7 pm (just when the gate was opened). I didn't stay until the actual ceremony and party started because I had to prepare myself for a meeting at the office the next morning, but I did have some little shopping and had the chance to choose on some new collections from my favorite brands that were available.

There were so many cool and gorgeous new stuff from the brands that I love...I did manage to take some pics though (sorry for the low quality shots, I didn't have my camera with me so I just simply use my phone camera)

Totally loved the 80's theme decoration on the store (and the people who was there). So fun and classy :)
This is me. I had no one to ask for taking my picture so I just took mine through the mirror reflection. Just to prove that I was there :p
The ink mark I got just when I left. I didn't come back  after though

Thank you so much for The Goods Dept. for the special invitation. Had a great time. Too bad I didn't stay long to enjoy the party (and didn't take any pics of the amazing party either), but the Baileys Milkshake was extra yummy.

Bali Trip 2012 - Part 3

Day 3 - Last day in Bali

At the reservation email, the hotel management instructed us that the time of check-out was exactly at 12.00 at noon, so we planned to pack every belongings and took a taxy to Legian Street and hangout around the Kuta Beach until sunset then leave to the airport to catch our flight to Jakarta which leaves at 20.30 that night. But the hotel itself had their own policy, knowing that our flight won't leave until the night, they gave us extra time to wait for the return flight and provided the car that would take us to the airport at 5 PM (17.00 o'clock) from the hotel. I'm guessing the hotel gave the kind policy since it was at low season and there wasn't any other reservation had been made for the next night.

So we rent another motorcycle (the previous one had been taken by the owner) and went straight to Sanur Beach.

The beach is way to the eastside of the island and the was a line of hotels and resorts along the beach. So we left our motorcycle at Sindhu Beach and continued the trip walking along the path along the resorts while enjoying the beautiful and calm beach. I love it in Sanur, and it was really calm. We had the long walk and hangout there for a few hours, sat by right outside of one of the resorts.

We left Sanur and went to one of the special traditional gift shop at Sunset Road, where we can find all the original/traditional snacks, food, accessories and clothing of Bali. We shopped awhile, buying local snacks for people back home and our work colleagues. Went back to the hotel, had some extra time to rest, re-pack our belongings and took a shower before the hotel car came at 5 PM and took us back to the airport.

It was hard leaving Bali, 3 days deffinitely wasn't enough, but it was enough to excite us to have another travelling trip again soon. Can't wait....

Bali Trip 2012 - Part 2

Day 2

We planned to go to Sanur beach and watch the beautiful sunrise that morning but failed miserably. We woke up late that morning hahaha. But we did expected it, knowing that the night before leaving Jakarta we had to work until late and couldn't get enough sleep before going extra early to get on the first flight of the day, then spent the whole first day in Bali on a full day trip at a hot day. So we woke up, had breakfast at the hotel, relaxed a while at the deck on our room then started on another trip.

The plan for today was to a whole day of shopping spree, so we headed to Sukawati market - about 26 km from our hotel. We kinda had a short stop at this market that we thought was the actual art market of Sukawati and had some shopping there before finding the real market that we were looking for. It was fun, and we did buy a lot of stuff for ourselves and my family back home, and also my mother in law (it has been a habit of mine in recent years to get things at every place I visit for both my mother and my mother in law, even before I got married).

Some of the shops of Sukawati Art Market

I even got one original Bali top for little Terry!! :3

Yes, we did take him along with us :)
I forgot how many hours we spent there shopping but my husband managed to stop the both of us from spending the last of our money at the place and went to have some lunch.
We had a book with us the whole time which tells us where to go and what to look for on our trip and they gave out a name of this local cuisine that was worth to try. It was I Nyoman's Sate Tenggiri (grilled fish on skewers) that was located right accross the strees from the art market, and we did found it. The guy (I Nyoman) was selling this tasty menu of Sate Tenggiri under a small tent, really simple but extremely tasty. And cheap! We only spent Rp.12.000 (that's about less than US$2) for one full portion of rice+sate tenggiri+a very tasty which is also his secret ingredients+pepes (traditionally processed fish steamed inside banana leaves)+some spinach and two bottle of cold Teh Botol.

After the meal we off towards the westside of the island to go to Legian. We made a short stop at the museum, though.

Then we spent the rest of the day playing with the sand and waves of Legian Beach, and then relaxed while enjoying sunset and music that was playing at the nearest cafe by the beach of Seminyak.
Just before sunset
The beachside cafe. Loved the bean bags, the lights and music.
We left when it's dark and had a dinner at Warung Italia, located at Jl. Kunti, a very small, romantic and not too expensive Italian Restaurant not far from Legian Street.

And then we spent the rest of the night back in our hotel room.

(To be continued)
